Like all social creatures striving to be whole, we find our sovereignty not apart from one another, but through each other.

• How can I write that part of the plan of the community is that members get's to have their own private piece of land with their own built homestead as long as members use their land for providing the collective with basic necessities such as growing food. Over time as members finds new meanings in their lives they can change what they provide into something that is closer to their being, as an example that could be someone becomes a pioneer in reiki and sound healing and provide this to the community instead of food.

  • Community discernment — Shifts in contribution (especially away from tangible necessities like food) should be seen and affirmed by the community, not just self-declared, to ensure the new offering genuinely serves people.

  • Transition, not abandonment — Ideally, changes in contribution happen gradually, allowing the community time to adjust (e.g., finding others to help fill the gap in food production) rather than leaving a sudden void.

  A few things worth deciding before this goes into a formal document:

  1. Who decides what counts as a valid contribution? A council, consensus vote, or something more informal?

  2. What happens if someone's new offering isn't seen as valuable by others? Is there a grace period, mediation process, or fallback?

  3. Is there a minimum contribution threshold, or could someone theoretically "graduate" to contributing very little if their offering is niche?

You can have a trust whose governing document encodes your community's values and vision, and decision-making sits with people or a body bound to act according to that vision, so in effect the culture itself is what the trustee answers to, even though on paper a person or board technically holds the trustee role.
